FAQS

Joining Us & Becoming a Plot Holder

Due to very high demand we currenlty have a 4yr waiting list for plots.

To mitigate this & reduce waiting lists we have reduced the size of larger plots as they have become available.

Plots are leased on a year to year basis.

If a plot is not maintained or becomes overgrown the lease can be terminated.

Other obligations as a plot holder are to maintain the shed, have a working water butt and attend 2 of the 3 work parties.

This is a Saturday or a Sunday where we all carry out general maintenance of the Alloment as a whole.

Please read 'things we do' & FAQs which provide information on some of the responsibilities of being a plotholder.

Machinery Operating Times (summer)

As we have a lot on neigbouring properites we have introduced the following timetable for operatinng electric and petrol driven machinery such as strimmers, rotovators and lawmowers.

Mon-Fri: 8am-7pm

Saturday: 9am-6pm

Sunday: 10am-5pm

Use of machinery out side of these times is not allowed.

Respecting the Environment

We encourage the use of bio-degradable materials and eco-friendly practices over the use of plastics and pesticides.

We understand this is not always the easiest path to maintain however it is better for the garden and the local wildlife.

Wooden planters over plastic, home made or eco-friendly remedies over shop bought pesticides and weed-killers.
